I was thinking what about Divergent and I saw that you just finish it (I did not read the half of the book yet) so What's better the book or the movie?
I think I’m always going to be one of those annoying people who think the book is better haha. (Well, my one exception is Catching Fire, actually. That movie was just perfect.)
The movie certainly takes its own creative liberties which isn’t a bad thing. I really liked having a visual of everything; the people, and especially the Dauntless compound. I was having a hard time visualizing it when I read the book. I found the movie more emotional, surprisingly, which is all due to Shailene being a fantastic actress.
I don’t know. The more I think about it, maybe one can’t be “better” than the other. They’re each their own thing, you know? Well actually there are definitely a few exceptions to that.. (also I know this didn’t answer your question and I’m sorry lol.)
And that was my Divergent review that nobody asked for hahaha.
I really liked it! Thanks for asking :)
Of course with the book so fresh in my mind, having just finished reading it an hour before I saw the movie, I noticed lots of changes but that’s to be expected. I won’t go into them because I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone waiting to see the movie haha. And only a couple of the changes really bothered me. But yeah, it was super fun to watch. I think they did a great job adapting it to film :)
